About the event

Two price options:

$50 a single attendee will make and bake a 5 inch quiche

$75 two attendees will make and bake a 9 inch quiche.

Price for this make and take event includes instruction, ingredients, recipes, equipment, nutrition information and a great experience with people who share a common interest.

Quiche is a French tart with a filling made of cream, eggs, cheeses, and various fillings and spices that is then baked in a pie crust or tart pan.  In this class you will create your own quiche to serve at home.  

Learn from Gina and Stephanie, a mother/daughter duo as they share their recipe.

In French, “quiche” refers to a savory tart consisting of a pastry crust filled with a custard mixture and various ingredients such as cheese, meat, seafood, or vegetables. It’s a delightful dish that can be enjoyed warm or cold.  The first quiche to come to the attention of the American public was the Quiche Lorraine in the 1950s. Craig Claiborne, who started as food editor of The Times in 1957, created this classic recipe with bacon, onion and cheese.

Class will begin with Gina sharing how to make a buttery, flakey crust that is the base for this yummy French dish.  Then, Stephanie will guide the students in making their own quiche in one of the following flavors:

Quiche Lorraine:  contains bacon, ham, and onion combine to fill the open pastry case with savory flavors that will be sure to please.

Quiche Florentine is a classic spinach quiche that's made with fresh spinach, eggs, milk, a few spices, and delicious gruyere cheese.

Quiche Meat-Lovers is loaded with ham, bacon, sausage and cheese in a tender, flaky crust.

Quiche Vegetarian- your choice of a varieties of sautéed vegetables!
