Learn to make Sourdough bread! How do you like to eat your sourdough bread? Slathered with butter, peanut butter or jam? Eaten plain? Grilled cheese or sandwiches for dunking in your favorite soup? In this class you’ll prepare the dough and take home a loaf ready to bake for the next day.

About the event

In this 2 1/2 hour class you'll be given a step by step tutorial on making and baking Sourdough bread.


Normally a 2-3 day process, the experts at the Flour Pot have designed a way to demonstrate the various steps involved in creating the bread.

Using previously proofed loaves, attendees will watch the instructor demonstrate in person how to score and bake. Then, while baking, using previously prepared dough you'll learn how to stretch and fold the dough. This is done 6 times in 15 minute intervals.


During the resting time, information will be shared as to how the process began and what was done in the different stages. Attendees will be given a paper copy of the recipe for reference and note taking.


Each will go home with a jar of starter, the recipe, and a banneton bowl of dough that is to cold proof overnight and be baked…

  • Sourdough Bread

    Ticket admits 1 person to attend the class in person and will take home a jar of starter and a loaf of bread in a Banneton Bowl to be baked the next day.
