About the event
Pastry instructor Gina Guth shares the tricks and easy method for creating a flaky pie crust. You will learn how to mix using either shortening or lard, how to roll with ease and transfer to the pie pan. Gina will demonstrate how to flute the pie with special tools and by hand the old-fashioned way. Blind baking instruction will be included.
The $25 cost includes the lesson, recipe, and ingredients to make 2 single or one double pie crust. Take the crusts home to fill and bake at your convenience or freeze for later use.
The $50 cost will allow you to make a cream pie filling for refrigerator pies such as coconut cream, chocolate cream or banana cream pies.
