Youth age 7-14 are invited to join the chefs at the Flour Pot to learn different baking and cooking techniques. This event will focus on making a hearty chili and for dessert, no bake lime cheesecake cups.

About the event
In this class, Chef Isabel will work together with the children to prepare 2 recipes. Youth will learn about Chili, a spicy stew made with chili peppers, often including meat, beans, tomatoes, and a variety of seasonings, with numerous regional and personal variations.
Chili has roots in Mexican cuisine, with early references to chili pepper-seasoned stews in Aztec times. The dish evolved in Texas, influenced by Spanish, Mexican, and Native American culinary traditions, and became popular among cowboys and frontier settlers in the 19th century.
For dessert, the kiddos will learn how to make mini lime flavored cheesecakes with a graham cracker crust.
