About the event
What is BRIGADEIRO (BRE-GA-DE-RO)?
This famous sweet is a type of Brazilian Chocolate Confectionery. It's a scrumptious bite-size (or two) chocolate sweet, very popular in Brazil.
It is not a bonbon, it is not a truffle, fudge, caramel, brownie, or a cupcake... it's Brigadeiro! And why is it so different? The ingredients are condensed milk, butter and chocolate. You need to cook it at a specific temperature and time to a certain consistency and velvet texture. (if not ...you try something really hard to eat). After cooling, we hand-roll EACH precious chocolate ball in a finest chocolate, and embellish with nuts, dry fruits, or sprinkles.
During this class, students will learn the method for cooking the ingredients from Brazilian/American instructor, Agatha Pelliccione. Then, she will guide us through the hand rolling process chocolate dipping and decorating. Each person will take home 9 Brigadeiro that they make and a special box for presentation. You will also receive the recipes.
