Belgian Pie Class - October
For those less familiar with the tradition, Belgian Pie is a sweet pastry with various fillings and toppings. The dessert is sold at various festivals and Kermiss celebrations throughout Northeast Wisconsin.

About the event
In this 2 1/2 hour class you will bake along with 4th generation Belgian/American, Gina Guth. Her ancestry includes the surnames; Lardinois, Rouer, De Villers, Lu Maye, and Vandertie to name a few.
She will guide you through the pie making process. Bake along or watch to try later.
VIA ZOOM: Upon registration you will be sent (prior to the class) the recipe, ingredient list, equipment needed along with a registration link to join the meeting via Zoom at the designated class time.

All ingredients are provided for you to make 2 Belgian pies of your choice.
Join the thousands of people who have learned the art of Belgian Pie making that was brought to this country by Belgian/American Immigrants in the mid 1800's.
Flavors include apple, raisin, cherry, or prune that are topped with a sweet cheesecake type flavor made from blended cottage cheese. Also, a rice pudding custard filling that is topped with whipped cream when cooled.

Learn to make Belgian Pies- VIA ZOOM: Upon registration you will be sent an additional email that will include the recipe, ingredient and equipment list and a link to join the ZOOM meeting. IN PERSON: Prior to the class you will receive an email with directions to the Flour Pot and the recipe. All ingredients and packaging is provided.
