1:00 – 3:00 p.m Pumpkin Mania

In this afternoon’s hands-on session,

students will learn how to make three different

pumpkin-flavored desserts: bread, pie, and

cheesecake torte. Just in time for Thanksgiving! Participants will get recipes and take home a slice of torte, a mini loaf of bread, and a mini pumpkin pie.

1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Candy Making

In this afternoon’s hands-on session, students will

learn  how to make three candies:

caramels, toffee and angel food. Just in time for Christmas! Participants will leave with

recipes and tasty treats.

In this afternoon’s hands-on session,

students will learn how to make a pot pie—

a perfect comfort food for those cold wintry

evenings. Each student will leave the class

with one 4-inch pot pie (beef or chicken).

1:00 – 4:00 p.m Belgian Pie

You can experience “a piece” of local

Belgian culture, the Belgian pie!

In this workshop, Gina Guth of The Flour Pot

will reveal the history behind the pastry.

Students will learn how to make several

kinds of Belgian pies in a hands-on setting. Students should come prepared to feast

on the pies during class. No experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome.

 

The Belgian pie is a sweet raised-dough crust

that can be filled with different things.

Fillings typically consist of either a baked-rice mixture similar to rice pudding topped with whipping cream, or a fruit center of prunes, apples, or raisins with a cheesecake-like topping

made from blended cottage cheese.

 

Fee includes all supplies and students will

take home their creations.
